Walk through the hills, see cows, horses, even a donkey or two. If you bring a bike, kids would have a great time biking around this town. Check out the Paris Museum or the Antique Store.
Beach/Lake activities
Play at the beach, swim in the lake, go boating, wake boarding, jet skiing or tubing. The North Shore has a long shallow beach. Consider bringing a tent or umbrellas for shade. The Paris House has buckets and beach materials in the garage.

A relaxing one mile loop to the 2,000 year old limber pine.
- Bike Trail
4.2 mile paved trail from Utah Bear Lake State Park Marina to Ideal Beach.
- Highland Trail
A 55 mile trail accessible from Bloomington Canyon and Paris Canyon; open to hiking and mountain bikes, horses.
Caving
- Minnetonka Cave
A half mile tour; 60-75 min; 448 stairs; jackets recommended (40 degrees)
Tours for 15 or more start at 9:30a or 6p; $7/adult, $5/child, under 5 free, family passes for parents/children living in the same house
Part of the Cache National Forest. Largest limestone cave in Idaho, with gleaming stalactite and stalagmite formations. Located 10 miles up scenic St. Charles canyon near Bear Lake.
- Paris Ice Caves
Best to visit in late summer and early fall when the water dries out, making exploration easier. Located 9.6 miles from the mouth of the canyon, up a dirt road.

Located in Montpelier; opens 9a; tours are about 1 hr; group rates (25+) $7.50/person, 4 and under free
Become a member of a simulated wagon train, with a wagon master and live cast of pioneers.
Birding/Wilderness watch
Follow one of the roads on the north end of Main Street about a mile east to the Bear Lake Wilderness area. Birds are more likely seen in the early hours and just before dusk.
Soda Springs
Drive 45 min to Soda Springs to fill your water containers with the naturally carbonated water from the cold geyser spring.
